Hello wonderful Cub Scout parents!  It is time to register for this summer's North Atlanta District Cub Scout Summer Day Camp!

Theme:  Mad Scientists!   It is sure to be a BLAST!
Dates:  Tuesday - Thursday, July 24-26
Camp Hours:  8:30 - 4:30
Location:  Westminster Camp at Fritz Orr Field
Cost:  $90 (early registration) or $115 after April 15
(See info sheet for volunteer and sibling discounts.)

Space is limited.  Please register early.  Preference is given to scouts whose parents volunteer and then we will take scouts in the order of receipt of their paid application!

Please note two very important details:

1.  Camp is run by volunteers.  Please consider volunteering.  We have administrative opportunities, partial day opportunities, single day opportunities, and three day opportunities.  We can't run camp without you!

2.  We are having our initial camp planning meeting on Monday, March 12, at 7:30 PM at St. James United Methodist Church.  Please come and share your ideas.  Even if you can't volunteer, we would LOVE to have your input.  Please let me know if you can make it.  It is sure to be a blast!

The Atlanta Area Council has introduced the Camp Card program for 2012. This fundraising program allows scouts to generate funds in preparation for Summer Camp and relieves pressure for units to conduct fundraising activities. Units participating in this program will earn 50% commission on each card they sell.

Because of the help of local community partners, like Publix Supermarkets, each card will be worth many times more than the $5 they sell for. All Merit Badge classes are scheduled for the first and third Thursdays of each month.

The exceptions will be the October and January classes which are scheduled for the second and fourth Thursdays to allow for the holidays.

The Merit Badge clinics will be held in Room A-1 at the Trinity Presbyterian Church across from the Scout Hut located behind the parking lot. Trinity Presbyterian Church is located at 3003 Howell Mill Rd NW, Atlanta, Ga 30327 (corner of Howell Mill & Moores Mill).

* The Scout Hut is being renovated, please check this website in case of change in schedule if needed to accomodate construction.

We ask that each each scout be in uniform, and bring paper and pencil for notes. We also recommend that each scout have the MB pamphlet .

Registration begins at 6:45 PM.

Classes begin promptly at 7:00 PM and will end at 8:30 PM.

Dear Scout Volunteers:

We have a lot to be proud of here in the Atlanta Area Council, especially the hard work of our volunteers and the generosity of our families. 2011 has been a very successful year so far, but we need your help to close out the year strong.
